The Enrollment Period for the International Conducting Masterclass has ended!


Between the 6th of June and the 30th of July, students and graduates of music universities in Romania and abroad have had the opportunity to enroll in the International Conducting Masterclass “The Conducting Technique of Maestro Sergiu Celibidache”, which will be organized in Iasi between the 30th of September and the 6th of October 2013.

Following the selection process of the eligible files, there was recorded a number of 50 participants, meaning 14 participants from Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Spain, Israel and Austria, and 36 participants from Romania.

Sergiu Celibidache Foundation has initiated “Romanians for a World”, a national campaign of social responsibility that addresses Romania and promotes national values, thus encouraging the young generation to follow their dreams, regardless of the cultural sector of their choice.

The Film “The Garden of Celibidache”,
now with Romanian Subtitles

Following the success registered at the Sergiu Celibidache 100 Festival, May, 3 – July, 7 2012, and the audience’s request, the film „The Garden of Celibidache”, directed by Serge Ioan Celibidachi, is now on DVD with Romanian subtitles.

„The Garden of Celibidache” is a soul portrait of the famous and respected conductor and composer, Sergiu Celibidache. This ambitious documentary, made by the Maestro’s son, follows Sergiu Celibidache in tours and at his rehearsals with the Munich Philharmonic. The main objective of the filming crew was to recreate the universe of Celibidache on the big screen and, although Sergiu Celibidache used to avoid publicity, it was extremely available for this film.
